ORIONINVERNESS has size and presence and was always going to be a staying chaser. He had a full season of preliminary training before running in a couple of bumpers for experience and novice hurdling. He was third and fourth at Ayr in his first season hurdling. In 2016/17 he started over fences, and following a few runs he WON well at Hexham in March 2017 over two and a half miles. He followed up with a WIN at Newcastle in March 2018 again over two and a half miles. He then showed significantly improved form to beat the Gordon Elliot trained 2/5 favourite, again over two and a half miles, at Perth's finale meeting in September 2018. By Brian Boru, sire of Cheltenham Festival winner Next Sensation, and very useful chaser Bold Sir Brian, he is from the family of Macs Chariot and Minella Man, and is a half brother to Mudita Moment the winner of three hurdles to date. It was originally thought that he would need soft ground during the winter months but, having won well at Perth on Good ground options are substantially increased. The original idea had always been to put an unraced store horse into training and offer members the chance to be involved with a chaser from his early days and to watch his progress. Borris ( stable name) is making great progress and, given he is only seven, surely has a lot more to offer. click on link above to view pedigree.

TOUCHEDBYANANGEL  Was purchased at Goffs Doncaster sales in October 2018 as a replacement due to the uncertainties of whether Maraweh will come back into training. He is a six year old, National Hunt bred, by Beneficial. He only started racing in December 2017 but, wasted no time in racking up three wins over hurdles in his first season racing in Ireland, twice at Downpatrick and once at Kilbeggan. He is tough and genuine, a grey to boot. He likes Good ground and sharp right handed tracks, so Perth will suit him down to the ground. He will have a short break and will be trained for a prep race in March 2019, prior to a full season racing at Perth. He will probably stay at least  Two and a Half Miles, his wins to date have been over 2 Miles and 2 Miles 3 Furlongs. To view Touchedbyanangel's pedigree please click on above link.

Maraweh winning again at Musselburgh.

Maraweh was purchased by the club at the Newmarket sales in October 2013. Maraweh was foaled Feb 2010 and he was bred at the Shadwell stud which is owned by Sheikh Hamdan. Maraweh was lightly raced as a 3 year old and made his debut for TVC at Kelso Racecourse in 2014.

2015 was Maraweh's year as he really found his form winning twice at Perth Racecourse and twice at Musselburgh Racecourse over hurdles and proving he stays 3 miles on soft, good/good to firm going. Maraweh won again at Perth in May 2016 and he will be looking for another successful campaign at Perth in 2017. Maraweh kind of lost his way and his love for racing in 2018.

Maraweh is on an extended break now.

Breeding: Muhtahir - Itqaan (USA) (Danzig (USA))
